Learn to provide first aid in case of cardiopulmonary arrest!

What is the Resuscitation Marathon?
The Resuscitation Marathon is an initiative launched at the SMURD Cluj level and expanded nationally by the SMURD Foundation through which we want to educate the population about the vital importance of providing first aid in case of cardiopulmonary arrest.
Why is it vital to participate?
4 out of 5 cardiopulmonary arrests happen at home.
If by the time the emergency crews arrive, the victim does not receive resuscitation maneuvers from those around them, the chances of survival decrease by 10% with every passing minute.
Given the above data, it goes without saying that if we are ever faced with a situation where we witness a person who has suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, the victim’s chances of survival depend largely on our reaction.
Rapid recognition of cardiorespiratory arrest, calling emergency services through the unique number and applying resuscitation maneuvers until the victim is taken over by emergency medical teams are vital for survival and recovery with the least possible neurological deficit. By offering just 30 minutes of your time, on Saturday, February 21, in ParkLake Shopping Center, you will learn how, with your bare hands, you can make the difference between life and death!
How is the Resuscitation Marathon conducted?
During the event, together with over 100 doctors, paramedics, nurses, medical students and SMURD volunteers, you will practice on mannequins, within practical stations, how to recognize and how to act in the event of a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The marathon will feature over 20 practical stations with 2 instructors each, offering successive 30-minute courses. These will be repeated throughout the event for each new group of participants.
Participation is free, no prior registration is required!
