Purple Day Flashmob – The International Day of Fighting Epilepsy

On the occasion of the International Day of Fighting Epilepsy, together with the Association for Law and other Rare Epilepsies we are waiting for you at the Purple Salsa flashmob! Thursday, March 26, from 6:00 pm, join Wilmark and the Latin schools  from Bucharest, as well as those close to the epilepsy sufferers in a unique event dedicated to the fight against epilepsy through dance, so that the people affected by this disease do not feel isolated. Be Purple & Dance Salsa!

The International Day of Fighting Epilepsy (March 26) is also called Purple Day, the purple color being chosen to represent the cause of epilepsy patients because it is that of lavender – a plant associated with loneliness and isolation. The Association for Law and Other Rare Epilepsies marks every year the International Day of Fighting Epilepsy through dance. About 60 children in Romania are known to suffer from Dravet Syndrome, but the disease is underdiagnosed due to lack of information and testing funds. More details about the organization’s projects are available on www.dravet.ro.
