ParkLake and ECOTIC mark the International E-Waste Day through eco-educational workshops and by setting up the ECOTIC Caravan
Between October 9–12, 2025, ParkLake Shopping Center, together with ECOTIC, is hosting a series of actions dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of separate collection of electrical and electronic waste, on the occasion of the International E-Waste Day, October 14.
Throughout the four days, visitors are invited to discover the ECOTIC Caravan – an interactive mobile exhibition about e-waste and the proper solutions for their collection and recycling. In addition, on the weekend of October 11–12, children and families can take part in eco-educational workshops under the concept “Become an Environmental Ambassador with the challenges launched by Ecoterrian.” The proposed activities will engage the little ones in a series of interactive and creative experiences: from separate collection games and matching exercises, to drawings and messages dedicated to the planet, painting, and creations inspired by the Ecoterrian character, as well as a special eco-story corner with audio tales listened to through headphones. Each child will receive an environmental passport, collecting stamps for the activities completed. At the end, they become Environmental Ambassadors, rewarded with a diploma, a storybook, and a small container for collecting batteries at home.
“We are glad to bring the ECOTIC Caravan once again to the heart of the Bucharest public, this time at ParkLake, in such an important global context. We strongly believe that environmental education for children is the key to a sustainable future. International E-Waste Day gives us the opportunity to involve the entire community in an interactive and eco-friendly experience,” said ECOTIC representatives.
The event will also feature Ecoterrian, the invisible green hero who comes to life through good deeds for the planet, inspiring children and families to be more mindful of their daily actions.
