FIBA 3×3 World Tour Returns to Romania: November 8–9 at ParkLake

The professional global 3×3 basketball circuit – FIBA 3×3 World Tour – is scheduling its final stop before the grand season finale that will determine the 2025 champion, right in Bucharest. The event will take place November 8–9 at ParkLake Shopping Center, supported by CS Rapid Bucharest and organized with the help of the Ilfov County Council.

For two days, Bucharest will become the world capital of 3×3 basketball, hosting top-ranked international teams and players. They will battle for qualification to the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final, the last act of the season, which will be held November 21–22 in Manama, Bahrain. The show at ParkLake Shopping Center will also feature a slam dunk contest, a signature FIBA 3×3 World Tour event, bringing together professional athletes from around the world.
The competition returns to Romania two years after Constanța hosted, for the first time in Romanian history, a stage of the professional men’s world circuit in 2023.

The Bucharest tournament will feature 16 teams, some of which have earned their place through Challenger events held in Brazil, China, Switzerland, and Belgium. Out of these, 10 teams will gain direct entry to the main draw, while six others will compete in the qualifying rounds for the last two available spots.
Romania will be represented by Știința Bucharest, the team that won the Romanian Cup this season and finished third in the National 3×3 Championship. The Bucharest squad also took part in several professional Challenger tournaments this year, their best result being 10th place in Poitiers this June.

The total prize pool amounts to $125,000. In addition to the on-court action, fans will enjoy live entertainment and have the chance to take part in interactive contests and giveaways between games and sessions.
