Red Bull BC One, the most prestigious global breaking competition, returns to Romania after 10 years!

Bucharest is getting ready for a show: at the end of this week, ParkLake becomes the meeting point of the Romanian breaking scene. Red Bull BC One, the most prestigious breaking competition in the world, returns to Romania after a 10-year break. The national final will take place on Saturday, May 23, at 4:00 p.m.
Red Bull BC One emphasizes not only the execution of moves, but also the style, presence and ability of competitors to dominate the ring in real time. Beyond the battles, the competition is a global platform that offers breakers the opportunity to overcome their limitations. This is where legends are born, international careers are launched and the culture of breaking continues to grow.
After a decade of hiatus, the competition returns to Romania with a big show. The ParkLake final promises intense moments and a lot of adrenaline. The 20 competitors, 16 boys and 4 girls, will give it their all for the trophy: power moves, toprock, footwork, freezes and a lot of improvisation, all with one common ingredient: the show.

The competition is held in an elimination system. The 16 b-boys will go through the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The girls will enter directly into the semifinals, followed by the final. At the end of the evening, the jury, which includes important figures of the breaking scene: B-Boy Franke (winner of Red Bull BC One Romania 2012), B-Boy Marius (winner of Red Bull BC One Romania in 2014, 2015 and 2016) and B-Boy Lee (Red Bull BC One Romania 2012), All Star Break and international champion One.

A b-boy and a b-girl will represent Romania at the Red Bull BC One World Finals, which will take place this year in Toronto, Canada. Every year, thousands of b-boys and b-girls from around the world compete for the chance to reach the Red Bull BC One World Final stage.

Public access is at 4:00 PM, and the competition begins at 5:00 PM. The event will be opened by a warm-up supported by DJ Khanfu, the DJ of the Red Bull BC One National Final, who will provide the music for each battle.
The return of the competition to Romania offers the local community the opportunity to compete at international standards and to express their style and originality in front of a jury formed by reference figures of world breaking.
The event contributes to the consolidation of the national scene and to the connection with the global breaking movement, at a time when the phenomenon is in a strong expansion at the international level.
