What would you do if there was an earthquake in Bucharest tomorrow?
Come to the stand in ParkLake (behind the Information Office) on the weekend of November 22–23 and find out everything you need to be prepared, equipped and informed before, during and after an earthquake.

Bucharest Prepared, initiated by the Bucharest Community Foundation, is the reference program in the field of seismic risk. We expose reality, collect data and transform information into applicable solutions. Through collaboration, information and systemic changes, we create a network for a city that does not wait for disaster, but anticipates and prepares for it.
The Bucharest Community Foundation brings together donors, NGOs and initiative groups to develop strong and supportive communities in Bucharest and Ilfov. In its 13 years of activity, the foundation has funded 875 projects and scholarships, with a total value of over 28 million lei.

Your emergency backpack can be the difference between life and death. It should contain the basic items that will allow you and your family to survive on your own for at least 72 hours.

Water, min
 2 L /person/day
 Non-perishable food that does not require thermal preparation
 Pet food and water
First aid:
 Standard first aid kit
 Personal medication – min 7 days supply
 Analgesics
 Antiseptics, alcohol, antibacterial solution, dressings, tourniquet
 Toilet paper, wet wipes, hygiene and intimate hygiene items
Protection:
 Thermal blanket/isothermal foil/sleeping bag
 Protective mask with dust valve
 Gloves
Signaling and tools:
 Flashlight (battery/dynamo)
 Whistle
 Portable FM radio
 Spare batteries, external mobile phone battery
 Light sticks/torches for signaling/lighting in the house; matches
 multi-purpose knife, key to shut off utilities
 adhesive tape, polyethylene bags to secure the shelter
Other essentials:
 copies of personal documents: ID card, insurance, property documents (or
save them on drive/Cloud)
 cash
 medications for chronic conditions

 family plan: phone numbers of loved ones, meeting point, names and
contacts of people you will meet after the earthquake
  extra set of house and car keys
